"There are no buttons or switches or setup programs to install or configure. As soon as you plug it in, a dialog box pops up asking you for permission to let Rebit go to work. You click OK, and that's it. The software on the Rebit drive goes to work to make an exact copy of everything on your computer's hard drive. It also catalogs old copies of your files, so you can go back to an older version of a document, if you wish.
Simply plug in the Rebit to your USB port, click "OK" and all your files are downloaded onto the machine. No configuration and no extra cables, since it powers itself via USB." (Gizmo.com)
"Here's a nifty little product if you're a Windows user—Rebit is a pocket-sized backup that is so easy to use that even my mom could master it (and she still calls her computer "that TV thing"). You can even go back to older versions of saved documents, as it catalogs past copies of your files.
"A report I’ve been updating was mysteriously deleted. I used Microsoft’s search tool and didn’t find it anywhere on my computer’s hard drive. But lo and behold it was on the Re bit drive, tucked away in a deleted files folder. Hip hip hooray! It saved me about an hour’s worth of work to recreate that information. " - Ellen B" (Rebt).
" I have been using the product for a few months now and it works so well that I got one for each of my parents. I had been using Acronis to back up but Re bit is a lot easier. " - Reid S.(Rebt)
"The Re bit is a no brainer and the easiest back up imaginable!! I plugged it in and answered one question with a single click and it was set up and backing up. I highly recommend it and my manager has decided to buy one for everyone in the entire department!!! We are tired of worrying about our IT dept's ability to maintain our data and for [under] $300 we have incredible piece of mind.
Coincidentally, I had to use my rebit last night to recover a PowerPoint document that I had worked on for several hours. I saved and closed but could not find it to send to my co-workers. I looked and looked on my computer. Finally, I figured out the ’path’ to where it was saved…in the temporary internet files under OKL4E. However, I could not access that file on my computer, it just didn’t exist. So, I went to my Rebit and sure enough.there it was. Wow….I love this little frog!!!!! " - Vicki P.(Rebt)
"I plugged it in last night and it appears to be all set up today. Sounds like a wonderful thing. And ... I do use my computer for work, and need to back it up, but never take the time to do so. So this is exactly what I need." - Katie H.(Rebt)
